If you’re looking for a fun, sustainable way to spend a day, you could try looking at what these guys have done; base jumping off wind turbines!

Show your support for wind energy (p.s., it’s free and easy to do)

Under the title “Give Europe a breath of fresh air”, the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) is organising a campaign to raise awareness of this energy source in Europe.

The idea is simple: go to their website at
http://freshair.ewea.org/
, click on ADOPT and choose a country from the map.

When you find a wind farm, you’ll see a graphic like this below. The colours show you how many turbines have been adopted (red), which are left (green) and which are reserved (orange).

We’re in luck! Click on a green wind turbine to adopt it, add your email address to the form and you’ll be sent a message that asks you if you’re sure. When you confirm it by clicking on the link in the mail, you’ll receive full details of your new turbine, including a URL to share with friends, like this one:

Have fun!
