Katy Perry dropped by Sesame Street after protests from parents

On Monday, a video of Perry singing a version of her song Hot n Cold and begging to “play” with Elmo was leaked on the internet. Parents, outraged by Perry’s low-cut dress, protested on various web forums.

But how many pre-schoolers (the target audience) are going to a) recognise the song or even know who Katy Perry is and b) be staring at her cleavage? The sketch is harmless enough and Elmo is, of course, the star, so where’s the problem? See for yourselves …
