When the going gets tough, the tough get reading, or something like that. Of course we all love paper books, but there’s an attraction to online versions that’s hard to deny. When you consider that it also keeps your children occupied and is a practical help, then the MeeGenius Children’s Library is a good bet for these holidays.

For example, we went for an old favourite, Pinocchio – choose READ or PERSONALIZE. If you choose the latter, a small window pops up and asks you to enter the information (mostly names or objects) you would like to see replaced in the story. So if you’d like to give your child’s name to the protagonist or have The Three Bears live in a penthouse on Fifth Avenue and eat caviar instead of porridge, then this is for you.

In general the site is fast, but because of the size of the books and the audio accompaniment, they can take a while to load depending on the quality / speed of your internet connection.
